Canary Island Cruises
Canary Island Cruises
The Canary Islands are an all year round destination and have long been a popular tourist destination for land based resorts holidays However, in more recent times, cruises to the Canaries are a particular favourite amongst Europeans looking for some (almost guaranteed) sun. The Islands are made up of Tenerife, Grand Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and the unspoilt mountainous volcanic islands of La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro.
Atlantic Islands cruise itineraries often include a stop at Funchal on the beautiful green lush island of Madeira and sometimes to the other Portuguese Islands of the Azores and Cape Verde further to the west of the west coast of Portugal with the latter often used as a port of call when ships operate re-positioning cruises from and to the Caribbean.
UK port departures to the Canary Islands are popular throughout the year and can be anything from 10 nights or more although some ships occasionally berth in Tenerife right through the summer months and offer 7 or 14 night itineraries.
