Celebrity Cruises is an American cruise company providing top quality cruises on a variety of modern cruise ships ranging in size from the Celebrity Millennium Class, carrying a minimum of 1,950 passengers, through the larger Solstice class of ships carrying up to a maximum of 3,000 passengers and onto the new generation Edge Class ships which carry up to almost 3,300 passengers.

In addition to the traditional cruise ships Celebrity also operates 3 explorer ships to the amazing Galapagos Islands (see video here). The 96 passenger explorer ship aptly named Celebrity Xpedition, the 16 passenger Celebrity Xploration, and, the most recent (and largest) addition to the fleet, the 100 passenger Celebrity Flora. Optional land expeditions of up to 6 extra nights are available to tag on to these cruises.  

Celebrity Cruises is owned by Royal Caribbean International and offer cruises in elegant and contemporary surroundings with quality food and service.

Celebrity Cruises has ensured there is lots of room on deck and three pools on Celebrity Millennium class ships (1 pool has a magradome) meaning more room to move around and is noticeable especially on sea days. The Celebrity Theatre is on four levels and provides some excellent entertainment. In addition there is an internet café, cinema and conference room, Cosmos Nightclub and dancing in the Rendezvous Lounge. 

Main dining on Celebrity Millennium Class ships takes place in the Metropolitan Restaurant which is situated over 2 decks and provides excellent freshly cooked cuisine together with good service. Room service is also available for dinner. As alternatives, guests can dine  in the reservation-only Olympic Restaurant or the less formal buffet-style Ocean Café and Grill.

Celebrity Solstice Class

Entertainment is provided in the three-level theatre as well as the area aptly named the ‘Entertainment Court’ on deck 4 where venues such as Celebrity Central for cabaret and movies, Quasar Night Club and Fortunes Casino are close by. Further aft on this deck are a number of bars including the Martini Bar with its unique frozen bar and Cellar Masters for all would-be wine connoisseurs.

Dining in the main restaurant on Solstice Class ships is over 2 levels and is over 2 fixed sittings and 1 ‘mytime dining’ sitting for those guests requiring some flexibility. There are a number of speciality restaurants on Solstice ships including (but not limited to) ‘Blu’ for Aqua-Class stateroom guests, Silk Harvest for sumptuous Asian cuisine and Tuscan Grille for Italian-inspired dishes of the highest quality.

The Canyon Ranch Spa Club is a great place to unwind. In this area of the ship you will find the Persian Garden, fitness centre and a beauty and hair salon amongst others. Access to some of these areas is free whilst there is a charge for others.

Wheelchair access on Celebrity ships is excellent with wheelchair-accessible cabins available in most grades and positioned close to lifts.

Celebrity Edge ships provide an indulgent cruise experience to visit exclusive destinations around the world.  Over 1,000-feet long, 123-feet wide and 190-feet high, Celebrity Edge class ships carry between 2,910 and 3,260 guests 2,91guests and are next generation of modern luxury cruise experiences. Celebrity Edge class passengers tend to be 40+ and Mostly American. When all cabins have double occupancy, the ships provides a space ratio of around 40.3 tons per passenger and a crew to passenger ratio of one for every 1.9 passengers.
