Cruise from Fort Lauderdale with Holland America Line on their premium vista-class cruise ship Nieuw Amsterdam. With a gross tonnage of 86,700 and carrying a little over 2,100 guests, the Nieuw Amsterdam entered service in 2010. Like aboard other vista-class Holland America Line ships, the main pool deck may be covered with a glass dome roof when cruising in cooler regions. There is a complete walk-around exterior teak promenade deck, and real teak steamer-style sun-loungers are provided. There are 2 whole entertainment/public room decks with the most dramatic of these being the show-lounge which spans four decks towards the front of the ship.
