The Tour

On the first day of this tour visit the well-maintained Don Rak War Cemetery and the Thailand-Burma Railway Museum that vividly illustrates the history of ‘Death Railway’. Continue to the Bridge on the River Kwai, celebrated in the eponymous film. A long-tail boat delivers you to the River Kwai Resotel in a wonderful natural setting. After lunch, visit the Mon village where there is an option to take an elephant ride. The Mon have been present in southern Burma and central Thailand long before the arrival of the Burmese or Siamese. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Mon dance show after dinner. On the second day visit the Hell Fire Pass Memorial, marking the most difficult cutting through rock along the Thailand-Burma Railway. Finally after lunch and check-out, take a scenic train ride along the notorious Death Railway before the return to Bangkok.
