ms Jane Austen

The Jane Austen river cruise ship was built in 2015 and can carry up to a maximum of 140 passengers and 35 crew. She is an extremely elegant river cruiser with a marble-floored lobby and beautiful furnishings throughout. To take a river cruise on Jane Austen would be to experience one of the finest ships afloat on any of the world’s rivers and one can expect a service second to none with a crew to passenger ratio of 1:4.

There are 3 air-conditioned decks in addition to the Sun Deck. These are the Diamond deck at the top level, Ruby deck in the middle and Emerald deck on the lower level. The lower 2 decks are connected via a staircase whilst a lovely glass lift connects the upper 2 decks.

The observation lounge on Diamond deck offers fabulous panoramic views through its floor to ceiling windows. There is a spacious bar area also located in the lounge. Aft on Diamond deck is the Lido Bar & Restaurant serving early bird breakfast, light lunch and dinner (to be reserved on board subject to availability).

The main restaurant serves top quality cuisine and is located on Ruby deck. It is laid out in the main of tables for either 4 or 6 guests. The restaurant on Jane Austen is open to serve buffet breakfast, buffet lunch and dinner.

There is an excellent viewing area at the front on Sun Deck which is just perfect for some spectacular scenery watching. There is plenty of chairs and sun-loungers on Sun Deck as well as shuffleboard and giant chess plus a small but welcoming splash pool. Weather permitting there are barbecues occasionally held in this area!

Cabins on ms Jane Austen are beautifully furnished and are located on all 3 decks. There are 4 deluxe suites, (242 sq ft all Diamond deck), 7 suites (199 sq ft) and 63 deluxe river view cabins (161 sq ft).

Other facilities on Jane Austen are a small boutique, hairdressing salon and sauna/steam room.
